Welcome to Maesteg!

Finally the track has been laid up to Maesteg. I still need to add the Blaengarw Branch Line which breaks off from Tondu and runs up to Pontycymer (Disused). The Garw Valley Railway is located in Pontycymer and runs as far as Brynmenyn. They aim to clear the line back to Tondu!

Looking forward to completing the lines for phase 1 then onto Scenery!

Diversion! 12/07/21
Only a smallish update to the route. I have laid the track up to Tondu Junction on the Maesteg line! Tondu Junction has a long history and still continues to use a token exchange to this day! There are 3 different lines that split off from Tondu Junction. 1 continues on to Maesteg, 2 diverges to the right towards the Blaengarw Branch Line which runs up to Pontycymer (Disused) and then the track that diverges left is the line to Margam, now only used as a diversionary freight route.
I've spent the last few days building the diversion route between Tondu Junction and Margam!
Jobs to do:
-Add markers along the line
-Add scenery...eventually
Not the best quality but you can see where it goes!

Biggish Update 09/05/21
It's been pretty quiet here for a few weeks so I thought I might as well add an update. This afternoon has been spent laying all the track at the Barry Tourist Railway! This task has been awfully challenging as I couldn't find any gradients for the BTR.

Jobs to do:
-Connect all the roads as roads 2,3,4 & 6 are not connected to the rest of the yard
- Rework Up & Dn Barry Island as there was some glitch in the track so that needs to be redone
-I'm sure there are probably many more jobs to do which I am yet to discover
The screenshots show the progress that has been made today. Quite pleased if I say so myself!
Another afternoon well spent! 12/04/21
Aberthaw Power Station...has driven me round the bend...badum tss . Eventually got it all sorted though.
Jobs to do:
-Place markers in Aberthaw Power Station, Aberthaw Reception Lines and Aberthaw Cement Works.
-Lay track down the Bridgend Ford branch
-Lay track into yard at Barry (Woodhams Scrapyard) & BTR (Barry Tourist Railway)

Big Update 11/04/21
After a long days graft, I am pleased to say I have laid the base down for the Vale of Glamorgan line!

Small jobs to do:
-Lay track into yard at Barry (Woodhams Scrapyard) & BTR (Barry Tourist Railway)
-Lay track into Aberthaw PS
-Lay track into Bridgend Ford
After these jobs have been completed, I will lay the track on the other lines which will be included in phase 1. Then on to the scenery!

More progress tonight! 02/03/21
Track to Barry has now been laid. May need to rip it all up again after finding out there was a row of gradients missing so might need to redo the whole line!
Lots more to do but I'm glad I've reached this milestone! Now onwards to the Island and then onwards to Bridgend!

Tiny Weenie Update 01/03/21
Track laid to Cogan & Eastbrook, the curve into Cogan Station was sorted as it is ridiculously tight IRL so that required some sorting out. I also started from Bridgend direction trying to fix the mess DTG left behind of the track going towards the VoG! After what I've seen gradients aren't DTG's strong point!....Rant over.

Made it to Penarth 24/02/21
Jobs to do:
Markers- Stations (Dingle Road & Penarth)
Scenery- Lots to do!!! Will leave it until all of the track is laid. (DEM import has messed up and now there are cliffs down to the stations .
Next job is to lay track down the Vale Of Glamorgan then I'll make a start on the scenery. Before then commencing work on the Ebbw Valley and Maesteg Line!

Barry Town Station 01/12/21:
Far off of completion but worth a look a progress. Can't find much reference material of the front or inside. It's been a while since I've been to the station!

Landing Pad for the content I create for Train Simulator e.g. Scenarios and routes. I decided to make a Facebook page and Website so people in the Railway and Simulation community could see new and exciting content and updates on projects. Not much to see so far but as they say...watch this space!
